AdSense revenue dropping hard due to Coronavirus?

The world is in crisis due to the Coronavirus. Most of my sites are in dutch and in the travel branche. AdSense revenue is down big time compared with the same month last year. Last March I made well over €2.200,00 but this month I am not going to break €1.500,00.

Traffic and revenue is down. Travel agencies, airlines, airports, everyone is having a hard time at the moment. This might be the start of a new economical crisis. I hope this will be over soon and there will be a cure for Corona. It doesn’t really matter that revenue is down at the moment. I just hope this will be over soon and everyone will be healthy again.

Google Adsense income report February 2020

Adsense income for February 2020:

€2.115,13

Compared with €1.601,33 in February 2019 this came out pretty well. Mainly to do with the storms in Europe which made people check my sites more often. I had 2 days above €150,00 due to that, which is nice.

I didn’t do much work in February which sucks. the revenue of the suitcase site was better than ever. It brought in €259,00, which I am very happy with. The site brought in €950,00 in revenue now while I bought it last september for €2050,00. Pretty sure I am going to make the money back and will make a nice profit. Not sure yet if I should keep this site or sell it for like €4.000,00 – €5.000,00 when it brings in €300,00 – € 400,00 a month. That would be a nice profit.

Also bought a new domain. A .com that is easy to remember. The plan is to create an international site on it with different travel information. More on this later.

Google Adsense income report January 2020

A few days too late with my report, sorry about that! I hit 50 email subscribers last month, welcome new readers 🙂 Interesting to see how many of you will click through from the newsletter (read: monthly income report). Normally 2-3 people are clicking. Will let you know in the next blog!

For now, monthly income for January 2020:

€1.897,34

January is normally a slow month for me. Last year January brought in €1.566,95, so that’s better than last year.

The travel suitcases website brought in €147,00 last month in affiliate revenue. Clicks and traffic are a bit up and I hope to see €200,00 + months starting from april. I bought this site for €2050,00 and so far the site made back €667,51 in affiliate revenue.

Plans for 2020

With 11 hours left in 2019 it is a good time to see how things went in 2019 and decide what way I want to go in 2020. Adsense earnings in December 2019 are now at €2.153,68 and will probably not go over €2.200. A good number to end the year with. Last year december I made €2.134,14 so it is almost the same.

Earnings for 2019 in total on Google Adsense:

€36.525,85

A great amount of Google Adsense income for the year. This is actually enough to live off. On average it is €3.000 a month which is a good salary in the Netherlands. In my biggest month I made a bit over €5.100 (read here). With 5 days in a row earning over €200,00 a day. A great month 🙂

2020

For the upcoming year I will try to focus more on my big earners and make them even better. I feel there is still room for improvement and higher earnings. I need to focus more!

I am also starting a new site with a friend of mine. Very excited about that and it will be an international one.

Google Adsense income report November 2019

Like expected the Adsense income dropped in November. The suitcase site did ‘ok’ with €142,00 in revenue. Short post about november, nothing really changed just that the travel traffic is gone 🙂

Plans for december are getting all the sites fixed for the new year. Didn’t found new sites to buy yet, hopefully there will be something to buy before the end of the year. Will keep you updated.

Google Adsense income report October 2019

October went by fast. Traffic and earnings went downhill which I expected. Luckily I made over €2.000,00 in October which was my goal. Money made on Adsense in October:

€2.614,20

Good amount, nothing to complain about. We are in November now, time is flying… Plans: Fix everything for next travel season.

Suitcase website

The website I bought in September did well in October. The site brought in €163,36 in affiliate revenue out of €2.076,32 in sales. There was a autumn holiday here in The Netherlands, so that might be the reason the sales were up.

Plans

No plans for upcoming month. I will try to fix some issues on my websites, nothing big. Also still looking out to buy new sites, if I buy something new I will post about it.

Google Adsense income report September 2019

End of the summer and traffic on my travel niche websites is slowly going down. The earnings for this month were still good though. In September I made:

€3.554,62

Still a very nice average of €118,49 a day. This summer has been really great for me with having a record month in July earning €5.137,99 on Adsense alone.

For the next 4-5 months I expect a decline in earnings. Travel season is over so the traffic will go away. I have a lot of SEO things I want to fix on my sites. They really need work. The plan is to have everything fixed in the next few months. I hope Adsense will bring in at least €2.000,00 next month.

Bought a new website

I bought a new website in the travel niche. It is a website that is reviewing travel suitcases. The site should bring in €120,00 to €150,00 a month I was told. I paid €2050,00 for the website that is 17 times the monthly income if we go with €120,00 a month. Not too bad I guess.

I got the site up and running on my affiliate account on September 11 and made €95,00 so far with it. In 20 days it sold 13 items bringing in €95,00. I guess the estimate of €120,00 – €150,00 a month is right.

At the moment I am really focussing on creating new backlinks for the site. When I bought it there were just 14 backlinks pointing to the site. In the last 20 days I already brought that number to 30. I will try to bring in more backlinks this month and start some social media on it.

Plans for October

I don’t have any special plans in mind for October. As I said I hope to bring in at least €2.000,00 on Adsense. Still looking to buy more sites that are bringing in money. Will keep you updated if I buy something new.

Google Adsense income report August 2019

Last month I had my best month ever. Bringing in over €5.000,- with Adsense! Last year my top month was August, so I hoped for another record breaking month. Maybe that was too much haha, for the month of August I brought in on Adsense:

€4.301,49

Another great month. Very happy that the amount is above €4.000,-. The summer is officially over now so I expect traffic to drop and so the earnings. I hope September will bring in €3.000,- + though.

Travel affiliate site

The travel affiliate site I talked about last month didn’t bring in any sales in August. Just €80,- on Adsense. The site is still young so we will keep working on that one. I hope next season this one will make at least €500,- + a month with affiliate sales.

Plans

For my sites generating the most income with Adsense I got a few plans. There are a lot of modifications and changes that will help the site grow. The reason I didn’t change it yet is because I am afraid to lose rankings. Now that traffic is going down and we go towards winter it is probably a good time to change some things at the site. I didn’t want to change anything in the top months. So that is over now (I think)

Still very happy with the income. €4.000,- + a month is still a very insane amount! Making way more than my normal job.

Record Month: Google Adsense income report July 2019

Another record month. I didn’t expect to blow the last month away but it did! July brought in some very nice number with the highest day bringing in € 244,06 (!!). I even had 5 days in a row above €200,00! The total amount of revenue made in July with Google Adsense:

Another record month. I just made over €5.000,00 a month with Google Adsense. I’m really happy with this and this gives me even more motivation to continue and make it grow. It won’t be easy though because this is a lot! This gives almost the same feeling as breaking €1.000,00 a month for the first time. €5.000,00 + is a big milestone for me. I will come up with new goals soon!

Travel affiliate site

As I stated in a previous post I am working on a travel affiliate site with a good friend of mine. The site is focussed on package deals to Spain. The site is growing slowly but we managed to sell two package deals in July, bringing in €139,00 in affiliate revenue! 1 deal brought in €86,00 and one deal brought in €53,00. We will continue working on it and adding more and more deals. The plan is to make this a big earner as well. Will keep you updated.

Google Adsense income report June 2019

The Adsense income in June 2019 is the highest earning month so far! Last month I hit a new record, this month I broke it already. Keep in mind that last month was 31 days, and June ‘just’ 30. The month started very well with my first 2 days ever above 200 euro. Amazing! The end of the month was a bit low, but finished strong with 160 euro yesterday. The total amount of June (the highest so far):

€4.200,82

Highest day was at June 2nd with €226,60. A personal record for me as well. Never broke €200,- a day before and in the first two days of this month I had over €200,-, which was pretty cool 🙂

Whats next?

I am not sure yet, will continue building the current sites. Not quite happy with the CPC (Cost per Click) I am getting in the last 2 weeks. It is around €0,11 while the beginning of the month was around €0,16. Not sure what to do about it but will walk through everything.
