Google Adsense income report June 2019

The Adsense income in June 2019 is the highest earning month so far! Last month I hit a new record, this month I broke it already. Keep in mind that last month was 31 days, and June ‘just’ 30. The month started very well with my first 2 days ever above 200 euro. Amazing! The end of the month was a bit low, but finished strong with 160 euro yesterday. The total amount of June (the highest so far):

€4.200,82

Highest day was at June 2nd with €226,60. A personal record for me as well. Never broke €200,- a day before and in the first two days of this month I had over €200,-, which was pretty cool 🙂

Whats next?

I am not sure yet, will continue building the current sites. Not quite happy with the CPC (Cost per Click) I am getting in the last 2 weeks. It is around €0,11 while the beginning of the month was around €0,16. Not sure what to do about it but will walk through everything.

How did your month go? Anything you want me to highlight on this blog? Let me know in the comments.

Google Adsense income report May 2019

May is over already. Had a lot of new ideas, new concepts and bought a few small sites as well for linkbuilding. But, most important: I broke the previous record of €3.557,98 on Adsense of August 2018. Yes, a new record!

Google Adsense income May 2019:

€4.156,18

The lowest day brought in €101,14 and the highest day brought in €179,12 on Adsense. Compared with the start of this year (january and february were very slow), this is looking really good.

I am not sure what to expect from June. I am happy with €3.000 a month on Adsense but ofcourse aiming for more! I will share my plans with you later this month I hope. Also planning to redesign this blog and post every week on 1 certain day.

Travel affiliate site

Last month I talked about the travel affiliate site I started with a friend. The site is starting to get more views in Google and gets some SEO traffic as well (very little though). But good news on this website as well. We sold our first vacation to Spain! Netting €26,32 from that deal. Affiliate networks in travel are working with ‘touch points’ nowadays. The buyer had 8 of these points so the commission is getting distributed over those websites he searched on. The first sale does give a great rush though. Even if it was a commission of €5,- I would be very happy 🙂 This could be the start of a great earner! And there is no Adsense on this website, which is good. I want to diversify the income a bit.

How did your month go? I appreciate you leaving a comment 🙂

Google Adsense income report April 2019

I am still here! Sorry for the delay but have been very busy with different projects. Totally forgot about my monthly Adsense income report! Here it is.

Google Adsense income April 2019:

€3.131,11

The month started slow but around the 15th of April earnings started to spike and stayed above €100 a day for the rest of the month! Even had my highest day so far on the 22nd of April earning €185,02!

Happy with the months earnings. Hopefully the €100 a day will continue! Will certainly work hard to stay on top of the game.

Travel affiliate site

The travel affiliate site I started with a friend is starting to get rankings in Google. Google Search Console is also showing more impressions in Google for different keywords, which is good. Still no sale but will keep working on it!

For the rest: Not much updates. I am planning to redesign this blog into something more custom. At this moment the default theme is on. Do you have anything you want to see on this blog?

Google Adsense income report March 2019

March brought in better numbers then January and February. After the Google Algorithm update the numbers spiked as you can see in the graph. But a few days after that it faded away again.

Google Adsense income March 2019:

€2.264,98

The spike to €120 was the moment of the Google algorithm update. Too bad it didn’t hold it 🙂 Still, this is a very good month. A break down:

#1 site brought in: €1.354,46

This is roughly 60% of total revenue. Not great, not that bad either. It would be better if the number 1 revenue website would bring in less than 50% of the total revenue. This way I am less depending on that one website.

Average CPC (Cost per Click) of total revenue: €0,076

This is on the low side… I am not sure why it is this low, last year my average was above €0,10 for the whole year. Going to do some research on this and see if I can do anything about it, but I don’t think I can. If you do have any tips, please let me know in the comments.

Plans for April

I started another affiliate site in the construction niche. This is a collab with a friend and we just went live. Got over 20,000 words on the site and now working on getting links. The plan is to get revenue from other sources than just adsense. The travel affiliate site I started in January is going slow. It is online for 2 months now and Google is picking it up, but no revenue yet. I didn’t expect it to go fast though. For the rest of the month I will be working on my existing websites.

Google Algorithm update confirmed

Google Algorithm Update confirmed – March 2019

It looks like Google rolled out a new algorithm update last week. It has been confirmed by Danny Sullivan at the Twitter handle @searchliaison;

I did see some changes last week, starting on last Sunday March 10, 2019. But I am not sure if its because of this, I started a new link building campaign on my main site a few weeks ago which might be kicking in as well. I even got a very valuable link from a big news site.

Did you see any changes in Google rankings? Or anything else at all? On one of the bigger webmaster forums (webmasterworld) I saw some topics about it people mentioning this was a huge update…

Valuable backlink by just asking

As I said; I got a very valuable backlink by just asking for a link. The site has a domain authority of 61 with a page authority of 71. Good link if you ask me. This is what I did; I searched google for my website and saw a couple of sites talking about my website without any link. So I mailed three of these sites and one of them responded and quickly added my link.

I just asked friendly and they wrote a friendly mail back and added the link. The other two sites didn’t bother to answer and didn’t add any link, but that doesn’t matter. At least I got 1 valuable link which normally would cost quite some money. Might be a good idea for you to do the same. Who knows where your website is mentioned 🙂

Google Adsense Income Report February 2019

February is over and the month flew by. Just 28 days of collecting revenue but revenue was up slightly compared with last month.

Google Adsense income for February 2019:

€1601,33

A bit up compared with last month but still not where I want it to be. At the moment I am working on new sites and bought some small ones again mainly for link building.

The travel affiliate site I started last month is coming along quite nice. The traffic is still very very low but the site is starting to look good. I will share the site later as it is focussed on affiliate income and not Adsense.

Modula WordPress Gallery

On the new travel site I was looking to get a good gallery plugin. After testing different gallery plugins I ended up with the Modula WordPress Gallery. It really works like a charm and just looks very smooth! They also run a free version without much limitations, which is great. If you are looking for a good gallery plugin, Modula might be the one for you 🙂

Buying websites – Update

In earlier posts I mentioned I was looking to buy adsense generating websites and I managed to buy 4 of these websites. In this post I will discuss them and see if it was a good investment so far or not.

I searched to buy Adsense websites and bought 4 so far. It is not easy to find these sites. Adsense generating websites are not often for sale. It seems everyone is keeping their Adsense generating websites and not putting them up for sale. Who would sell their websites bringing in passive income, right? I did manage to buy 4 sites in 3 transactions.

I think I overpaid

The sites I bought are running for a couple of months now and I think I might have overpaid. First I will share some statistics of the sites:

Website 1: TR

I bought TR for €2800,-. I think this is the most I ever paid for a website. In the past I bought a xbox forum for €2100 and I just checked, it is a blog now. Weird… I sold this site for €3500 so made a nice profit in a short period of time (I think I had it for 3-4 months). Anyway; TR. TR is a recipe website. I am not into cooking or recipes and I am not sure I am still happy with the buy. I also got caught up with the bidding war that was going on and think I overpaid for the site.

I am running the site since October ’18 and so far the statistics are:

Costs: €2800,-
Adsense revenue: €687,84

Monthly average: €137,57

This might look good for 5 months, but December is the top month for this site bringing in €400,- in that month alone. On average it should bring in €1200,- a year, that would take me well over 2 years to get my investment back.

Website 2: VV

Bought this website for €400,-. The domain is good as well. It is an EMD (exact match domain) and a .com domain. I would pay this alone for the domain if I really wanted it. It is good it has a site and generating a bit of income. The plan is to work on this website and let it generate more Adsense revenue.

The site is running since September ’18 and so far the statistics are:

Costs: €400,-
Adsense: €63,94
Monthly average: €10,66

When calculating the monthly average this site is not really a good investment. But considering the domain is good, this investment is not that bad. I don’t regret buying it.

Website 3 & 4: B-E

These 2 websites was a package deal. The 2 sites are connected to each other and are in the same small niche. The sites need work and SEO. I see potential in these two. The total amount I paid for it was €950.

These sites are running from October ’18 and so far the statistics are:

Costs: €950,-
Adsense: €175,76 (€164,77 & €10,99)
Monthly average: €35,15

Paid almost 30 times the monthly revenue for this. That is a bit too much for these sites. Sites got potential but need work. Not sure if I can give it to them at the moment.

Summary

Costs: €4150,-
Adsense: €927,54

I paid €4150 for 4 websites bringing in €927,54 so far. These buys are not great deals. I think I even overpaid a bit. The plan is to work on the sites and get them up in rankings in the next 3-6 months. I hope the Adsense revenue will go up and my return on investment will be here quicker.

I am still looking to buy more websites to build my passive income. For the last 6 months I am looking for good Adsense websites to buy but there are barely good listings. The good listings seem to go for really high prices, I am talking about 40x monthly revenue. When I get my hands on a new site I will share it here with you. There is 1 website that I am looking at this moment but the auction will run for another 14 days. If it doesn’t get too high I will join bidding in the last day.

I am interested in your thoughts about these buys. Let me know in the comments.

Google Adsense Income Report January 2019

Like I mentioned in a previous post; January is a slow month unfortunately. Traffic is down, clicks are down, CPC (cost per click) is down.

Google Adsense income for January 2019;

€1566,95

New affiliate travel site is live

Finally, another site is live. It is an affiliate travel site I started with a good friend of mine. I know him for over 10 years now and we did other projects together before. The site is listing good travel deals to Spain. We will earn between 2% – 8% on a sale. We got the site up and running on January 21. Had a few clicks on links, but no sale yet. Hopefully we get our first sale in February. Would be awesome!

Plans

I hold a file with ideas and plans what to execute. The list is really growing to big. I also eliminated a lot of domains that are just collecting dust. I want to create a few new sites in the travel niche, but also out of the travel niche. Not sure what to start with yet.

I hired a translator to translate text into Italian and Spanish. I want to set up a niche travel site in both languages, just to try some things out. Will keep you updated as I hope to get them live in February

Bought sites

I did buy a couple of sites in the end of 2018. I didn’t inform you guys yet how they are performing. In an upcoming post this month I will talk about it. I did pay a bit too much for the sites, but I will show everything in an upcoming post.

I am still looking to buy more quality sites that are bringing in revenue on Adsense or through affiliates. But it is hard to find them.

€5000,- a month

Last year my goal was to make at least €1000,- a month. For this year my goal will be to reach €5000,- a month and stay above it. I know this is an ambitious goal but online; everything is possible.

January is performing slow

January performance so far is not good. If it continues like this I will make around €1000,- this month. Compared with last year January it is still way up, but compared with the average of the last 6 months it is bad… very bad.

January ad revenue

I am not too concerned though. January is normally a slow month. Advertisers are pushing it in December, with January being slow as the follow up month. CPC is really down compared with last month and it started right on the first of January. At the moment I am getting €0,06 – €0,08 on average per click. In good months I am around €0,10 – €0,12. That is a big difference.

Travel niche

Being in the travel niche I know my most busy months are from May till September with my Adsense sites. People don’t book flights or holidays at my site. Well, maybe they do, but not directly through my affiliate offers, they click on Adsense ads. At the moment I am building an affiliate site for the travel niche with a friend of mine. I will do the marketing & SEO, he will do the backend coding. We use a .nl domain for it that I bought for €500,- earlier in 2018. A perfect brandable name that you can easily pronounce.

I talked about starting a site like this before, and I wanted to start it by myself but it just didn’t happen. A few years ago we did another project together and ended up selling it on Flippa for a nice sum, so that was a success. I have confident we can pull this one off as well and our plan is not to sell it, but really build it into a company. I will keep you updated about it once we go live (we plan to go live end of January)

Free AI translation tool

Having one site in French, I hired a translator to translate dutch content into French. Damn, that is expensive for a site that is not really bringing in any revenue (yet). While searching for good translation tools I stumbled upon Deepl.com. This tool is performing really good and uses AI for its translations which means it is constantly improving.

Tech giants Google, Microsoft and Facebook are all applying the lessons of machine learning to translation, but a small company called DeepL has outdone them all and raised the bar for the field.
Its translation tool is just as quick as the outsized competition, but more accurate and nuanced than any we’ve tried.

Google Adsense Income Report December 2018

Happy new year! This post will be short. One of my goals for 2019 is to blog more and make this blog a real resource for people that want to make money online.

For now;

Google Adsense income December 2018;

€2.134,14

Good month compared with last month. The affiliate site I was talking about earlier is going to be different. I am teaming up with an old friend for it. We are just setting it up and planning everything. More about that later.
